Preparation method of silicone urinary catheter

Silicone urinary catheters are made from medical-grade silicone. To improve the deformation resistance of silicone rubber urinary catheters, cellulose nanocrystals can be modified with the silane coupling agent KH550 to obtain ultrafine cellulose nanocrystal powder (NCC). Using methyl vinyl silicone rubber (VMQ) as a matrix, the modified NCC can be added to prepare NCC/VMQ composite materials.

 

Studies have shown that 1.5% NCC addition is a suitable preparation parameter, and this composite material maintains stable mechanical properties in a simulated urine environment. High-quality silicone urinary catheters that meet international standards are typically manufactured in a Class 100,000 cleanroom to ensure the cleanliness of the production environment. The products undergo 100% online testing during the manufacturing process to guarantee their quality and reliability.
