HJMED Heparin Cap, also known as an injection stopper, is a small, sterile medical device used in conjunction with intravenous (IV) cannulas, catheters, or extension lines. Its primary function is to maintain catheter patency, prevent blood clot formation, and minimize the risk of infection by providing a secure, airtight, and repeatedly injection access point. The heparin cap typically consists of a medical-grade polyester and synthetic rubber housing body and a self-sealing synthetic rubber septum. Although it has "heparin" in its name, the device itself does not contain any heparin medication.
